Remember a little series of games known as the Grand Theft Auto trilogy? That rather beautiful set of discs released last generation for the Xbox, PS2 and PC? Remember how it provided us with the delights of GTAs III, Vice City and San Andreas? Well now it's getting a re-release. On Mac. Cue jubilant air-punches of delayed vindication for Apple fans, but sad faces for 360 and PS3 owners.
As far as we know so far, anyway... ...
Y'know, what? We never realised the seminally shitty Resi movies were actually, at heart, small, independent, European flicks with loads of artistic merit. Hmmm, we guess the fact they're all full of paper mache-looking zombies, awful rock music and were filmed for tens of millions of dollars each really threw us of the scent. Well thankfully, Milla Jovovich who has played Alice in all the Resident Evil films, including the upcoming 3D Afterlife, is here to put us straight in an interview with Reuters that reminds us of a horned mammal's excrement. ...
If you'll excuse me, I'm now going to be a bit smug for the second time this week. Why? Because another of my exciting predictions for gaming's future has come true, in exactly the way I said it would.
Hot on the smouldering, radioactive heels of my long-held Duke-Nukem-by-Gearbox-at-PAX clairvoyance, Capcom has confirmed the gameplay details of its upcoming, previously mysterious, best-trailer-ever-having Mega Man Universe title. At this point I could just point you towards my previous predicto-feature and instruct you to upgrade all of my assumptions to weapons-grade fact, but I'm a serious professional and besides, that would be too smug even for me. I'm already feeling a bit self-concious about the big red Cape of Smugness I'm wearing (the one with the white feather trim) and the crown I've made out of that printer paper I stole the other day.
So I'm going to write a new story. And it will contain all the details. And maybe even a few screens. ...

Check out these images of the handmade Brothersworker models, which were scanned to create the characters in the game... ...
LucasArts producer Cameron Suey has admitted in an interview that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is in fact inferior on the PS3 because of the way it was built. He also stated he likes "putting builds on the 360," saying "it's a lot faster" than the similar process to code a PS3 title. With the PS3, the Force clearly is not, right Yoda? ...
Tokyo Game Show might be looming just over the horizon, but not all the interesting developments on the Japanese side of the games industry are coming out of a packed-to-the-brim Tokyo Bay convention center. Earlier this month, the annual CEDEC conference was held in Yokohama, Japan. CEDEC is a conference sponsored by Japan’s Consumer Entertainment Software Association (the same group that puts on TGS) and is geared heavily toward development, much like the Game Developers Conference. Unlike GDC, however, CEDEC is considerably more low-key – though that doesn’t mean that there isn’t some interesting news flowing forth from the event... ...

As Gordon Gekko once said, before he got thrown in the slammer for insider trading: 'Greed is good.' Y'know what's also good? A certain N64 shooter starring the world's most blocky British Secret Service agent. In a recent interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, Martin Hollis (who worked on the original GoldenEye) claims the FPS' name being dug out for Activision's upcoming Wii title isn't exactly being done with the aim of honouring the first game. This cat, it seems, has claws. ...
Cosplay comes in many forms. Every so often it's a grown man dressing up as a creepy-ass man fairy. Occasionally, it's a bald dude thinking all he needs to become the Ghost of Sparta is a coat of red body paint. But usually, it's attractive women squeezing into a tiny school uniform and claiming they're some obscure Tekken character (sorry, no link for that one. And yes, we are bastards). Of course, sometimes you'll get an enterprising gamer making cosplay that looks like it's been sculpted with shredded Turkish meat. This is one of those times. ...
